Meditate The Vote: Empowering Communities Through Peace and Participation

Meditate The Vote event at the Meditation Museum, Washington, DC on November 2, 2024 – promoting peaceful voting and community empowerment with inspiring speakers.

Washington, D.C. — October 30, 2024 — The Meditation Museum invites the public to Meditate The Vote, an inspiring gathering dedicated to promoting peace at the polls and supporting the freedom to vote mindfully—an essential right in America and cherished across the world. In a time when tensions can run high, this event aims to foster an atmosphere of respect, enriched dialogue, inclusion, and to be humble while having differing opinions.

The Meditate The Vote event will feature three dynamic speakers who bring diverse perspectives and wisdom on peace, unity, and community empowerment:

Dr. Jay Speights: Chaplain, award-winning author, producer, and Director of The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies in New York. A passionate community builder, Pastor Jay will share insights into fostering peace and understanding.

Zainab Al Suwaij: Iraqi American activist and co-founder of the American Islamic Congress. Renowned for her powerful advocacy of women’s equality, civil and religious rights, and interfaith dialogue, Zainab will inspire us to embrace our shared responsibilities as global citizens.

Rev. Sylvia Sumter: Senior Pastor of Unity of Washington, DC. Rev. Sylvia’s empowering message will encourage participants from all backgrounds to embrace their divine oneness and unite for the common good.

The host, Sister Dr. Jenna, Director of the Meditation Museum, host of The Next Normal live show airing Monday through Friday at 8:00 am-8:30am on YouTube, is also an inclusionist, and a respected leader in the DMV. She will guide attendees during the event and encourage a thoughtful voting process. Known for her commitment to bridging societal divides and building connections with global influencers, Sister Dr. Jenna’s voice is a beacon of inspiration; with her over 21 citywide projects in the metro area, peace trees planted on Capitol Hill and The Pentagon, her work is one of transformation and understanding what is needed in times like these that call us to reflect on who we are and what we are becoming.
